Clinical Supervision for Associate Social Workers (ASWs) in California
-
I offer clinical supervision hours for Associate Social Workers (ASWs) in California who are working toward their LCSW licensure, following the California Board of Behavioral Science’s (BBS) protocol. My approach is collaborative, thoughtful, and introspective, creating space for your growth and exploration of the work you do. I aim to support your development while honoring your voice, values, and emerging clinical style.
My approach to supervision is culturally informed, and I pull from the same approaches I use in my clinical practice in our supervision together. I work from a Jungian, Gestalt, and psychodynamic lens, where we capitalize on in-the-moment feeling to notice our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors with curiosity rather than with judgment. That said, no single framework is imposed, and finding ways to weave in various models gives supervisees the ability to find what fits your client, your style, and the clinical moment.
My practice philosophy centers on authenticity and collaboration. This includes taking your identity, experiences, background, faith, and perspectives seriously. Your clinical style was not created in a vacuum, and examining how relational dynamics show up in the clinical space can help you relate to yourself and your clients more freely.

Individuals and couples navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, and identity-related challenges.
Culturally diverse clients, particularly those for whom family expectations, faith, gender roles, or intergenerational trauma are present and relevant.
Individuals seeking a collaborative, affirming, and depth-oriented approach, rather than a passive role in their treatment.
Supervisees who want to integrate multiple modalities rather than committing to just one.
Because I am EMDR-trained, I can support supervisees in EMDR case conceptualization and protocol.
I am also an Expert Witness in the Los Angeles Superior Court and certified in Forensic Court Report Writing. I can offer expertise and supervision in forensic treatment, diagnosis, and writing.
I can offer supervision in Arabic or in Arabic and English together, if needed.
I commit to offering affirming supervision for LGBTQ+ identities and queer experiences.
I am not the best fit for supervisees seeking purely manualized or prescriptive supervision that ignores context, inner experience, and social issues. I work from an anti-racist perspective, and this framework is adapted and applied to each modality used.
